The Xiaomi Redmi 17C 5G 128GB Purple combines a large 6.9-inch screen with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, a substantial 6000mAh battery and 33W fast charging. The MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chip supports 5G, whilst the 50-megapixel camera is ready to capture sharp photos. You also get 128GB of storage, NFC, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and IP64 protection against dust and splashes. With this, Xiaomi is focusing primarily on a large screen, long battery life and modern connectivity at a competitive price, without the device feeling unnecessarily complicated to use.
Large 6.9-inch display with up to 120Hz
The 6.9-inch display gives the Redmi 17C 5G plenty of space for videos, websites and apps. Thanks to a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, the image is updated up to 120 times per second. Brightness reaches up to 810 nits in High Brightness Mode, ensuring that information often remains clearly visible even outdoors. Xiaomi has also included TÜV Rheinland certifications for reduced blue light, a flicker-free display and a more natural day-night rhythm. This means this smartphone isn’t just about size, but also about viewing comfort during longer viewing sessions at home.
Strong battery and 5G performance
With its 6,000mAh battery, the Xiaomi Redmi 17C 5G emphasises endurance. When charging is needed, it supports fast charging up to 33W via USB-C. Under the bonnet is the MediaTek Dimensity 6300, an octa-core chip built on a 6nm process with 5G support. The 128GB storage variant uses UFS 2.2 and comes with 4GB of RAM. Via memory expansion, the available RAM can be virtually increased, provided there is sufficient free storage space on the device. This gives you extra headroom when using multiple apps.
50-megapixel camera with extra features
For photos, the Redmi 17C 5G uses a 50-megapixel main camera with AI support and an additional auxiliary lens. On the front is an 8-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. You can unlock the phone using the side-mounted fingerprint scanner or via facial recognition. NFC is included for contactless payments, amongst other things, and IP64 rating offers protection against dust and splashes. The body is 8.05 millimetres thick and weighs 211 grams. This gives you a host of features in a sleekly designed 5G smartphone, without any unnecessary frills.
